Brothers

Our mornings usually begin like this.

And then once the boys have had enough cuddle and cartoon time, it's on to play time. Which mostly takes place for the rest of the day.

It is almost daily routine for Cole to empty the bag of blocks onto his bedroom floor and Jase will usually join him with another toy or game and he dumps that onto the floor. They will play quietly together amid the blocks and puzzle pieces for just long enough for me to wonder what the heck they are up to!

On this day, they were being too quite, and I tend to get nervous when there is silence in my house during the daylight hours. I was happy to find them playing nicely together and having some brotherly conversation. They were whispering to one another. They still won't tell me what they were talking about. Wish I could have gotten a picture of their little talk.

It's days like this that melt my heart. To witness their happiness when they see one another in the mornings and their kindness to each other... it's special. They are only 3 and 1 and they've already got this bond. Days like these make me forget (a little) the days where all I hear is whining, fighting, and tattling. And those days, well, they are not fun!
