2 years

2 years have flown by. Really, these have been the fastest 24 months of my life. In 2 years I have watched my littlest man grow from a tiny (sometimes crabby but mostly happy) baby into this toddler (still crabby but mostly happy) who acts older than he really is.

2 years ago, sometime not longer after 2:41 pm, I lay in a hospital bed just looking at my wrinkled up, pissed off looking baby. He maintained that pissed off look for quite some time. My sister says it's because he was not finished cooking and was not ready to come out. But thanks to the military and a thing called transfer...Cole had to enter this world just a bit ahead of schedule. Anyway, back to what I was saying. I looked at him and wondered if he knew what he was in for. And he looked at me probably wondering if I knew what I was in for? Regardless of what each of us were thinking that hot afternoon in Texas we've done just fine.

On this day (a hot day in NY) I sang Happy Birthday to him and helped him blow out his candles. Today I looked at him and wondered if he knows how much I love him. Today I looked at him and thanked God for this perfect, healthy child.

2 years have flown by...but oh what a joy they have been.

Happy 2nd Birthday Coley Oley! Momma, Daddy, & Bubba love you so much.

Twisters and Tissues

We arrived in Tornado Alley aka Oklahoma on a Friday, visited the cellar on Monday, and had threats of tornadoes every day but today...the following Friday. Monday was a bad day in Oklahoma for tornadoes. Well, pretty much every day has been bad. Clean up is going on from Monday's twisters. Prayers for everyone affected.

I left NY sick. I landed in OK sick. I have been sick every. single. day. I have been home. I've gone through 6 (i'm currently working on my 7th) boxes of tissues. My nose is beginning to heal and be something other than red. I visited the doctor while here; antibiotics, antihistamine/decongestant, and cough medicine was the remedy. Although, I think a frying pan to my head would have put us all out of our misery. Seriously.

I cannot call this trip wasted, even with the tornadoes, rain, and sickness. My goal was to relax and not run all over the place and we did just that. Success!

Beaming with Proudness

Today we celebrated Kaylee's college graduation!

I can't describe how proud I am of my little sister. I have watched her grow up and I am so happy to have been able to witness the milestones in her life...the high school graduation, the marriage, and now the college graduation. Can't wait to celebrate with her the milestones that await her (and Chase) in the future.

I leave you with this...

We've always got to have a crazy face picture! I heart my sister.

Oklahoma Here We Come!

Yikes! We leave for Oklahoma in 3 days! 3 days people!

No, I haven't started packing. I'm saving that for Thursday night. Hello, my name is Crissy and I am a procrastinator and I am not ashamed. :) I have however got the suitcases out and ready to be filled with clothing and other necessities.

The boys are ready to get to Oklahoma. Jase is anxious to get out to the farm and Cole, well he is just ready to get on the "coco pane", translation: helicopter plane. Jason and I are ready to leave the NY hustle and bustle, if only for a week, and enjoy the slower pace of Oklahoma life. Oh, and we are all looking forward to the moment when Kaylee's name is announced that she is a college graduate!!! Whoop whoop, we can't wait for that!!

Oklahoma, here we come!!
