St. Patty's Day in NY

This year Jason volunteered, yes volunteered, to walk in the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade. The parade is 40 something blocks and the guys and girls marched in formation sharply dressed the entire time.

I was thrilled to be able to go and see my husband in the parade. My best girl friend Lisa and I got our kids off to school and to a sitter and caught the ferry and the subway and made our way up to 59Th street and anxiously waited to catch a glimpse of our Coasties. Thankfully, we got to see our husbands and like the proud wives we are we yelled and waved at them as they marched by. We got smiles and winks from them. It was special!

I hope Jason gets the opportunity to do this again next year as I think I'll take the boys to the parade so they can see their daddy. They will love it.
