Teacher Appreciation Week

This was the week to show the boys' teachers how much we appreciate them. With 3 teachers to appreciate and being on a Coast Guard budget, I searched Pinterest for inexpensive, but cute, ideas. Here's what we I came up with....

Day 1: Payday candy bars with tags that said, "You're such an awesome teacher, you deserve an extra "Payday"! I didn't get the idea to get a pic of each day's treats until day 2...you can imagine what a candy bar with a tag and ribbon attached looks like!

Day 2: Homemade chocolate chip cookies! Yum-o!

Day 3: Packs of gum.

Day 4: Tote bags. Tag says "Thanks for Making 1st Grade/Pre-K "Tote"ally Awesome!"

These cute little stowaway tote bags were the most expensive items purchased this week. Found them at Target for $4 each. I thought they were so cute, I couldn't pass them up. If I use this idea again next year, I think I will pull out the sewing machine and make these myself. Of course, in order to get them done by next May, I will have to get started on them this afternoon.

Day 5: Simply Lemonades with a tag that said, "You're "Simply" The Best!" This morning was a bit rushed and I didn't have time to snap a picture.

I had fun putting together these little treats together. Spending roughly $20 for a week's worth of treats for 3 teachers made it even more fun! I believe I enjoyed this more than the boys. Although by Wednesday night they were asking what they would be giving the next day, so I'd like to think they eventually had fun with this. I hope the teacher's enjoyed their little treats as much as I we enjoyed giving them.

One Teacher Appreciation Week down, how many more to go???!!
