A Christmas Ornament Casualty

I was in the kitchen preparing lunch when I heard, "Mommmm, Cole did it." I quick put down the hot pan of chicken nuggets (healthy meal, I know!) and ran into the living room. Cole had managed to find and reach a ball off the Christmas tree. We recently re-rearranged all ornaments so that there were none within Cole's reach. Guess we missed one!

You can from the reflection of the ball that I tried to get all fancy with my photography! The kids were wondering what the heck I was doing and why wasn't I cleaning up Cole's mess! I entertained myself with taking pictures of the broken ball for a few minutes. Oh, Cole was fine. The shattered ball did not cut his hand. Thankfully.

So now this is the Jarrell family tree and all it's glory. There are, for sure, no more ornaments within Cole's reach. That hasn't kept him away from the tree though. A random ball, think football or soccer ball, will get thrown at the tree. I'm just hoping that this new, pre-lit, expensive, tree will make it through to Christmas. Santa will be collecting his milk and cookies by a Christmas tree that can very well report abuse!

Oh, Christmas Tree!

  2. We seem to have the same issue at our house, I will hear some rustling in my tree and of course there is Isabelle doing her own rearranging! Nothing broken but I am pretty sure that I will soon find all of my ornaments in her room somewhere with her babies!
