This morning I decided I'd be a good wife and mommy and cook breakfast for my trio of men. I am notorious for burning bacon to a nice crisp and I was being extra careful not to do this today, so my attention was not 100% on the boys. I could hear and see them but before I knew it they were gone. I walk away from the bacon, begin yelling ever so sweetly for them and searching the house. Nothing. I make it to their bathroom where the door is closed, the light is on and I hear water running and splashing. At this point I am a little afraid to open the door. When I open the door I find Jase washing his hands telling his brother that he's got to wash his hands after he goes to the potty. The splashing? Cole. Washing his hands. In the toilet.
So I have a little moment where I feel like I can't breathe. Why? Because Jase has difficulties flushing the toilet after going potty and Cole is now "washing" his hands in the toilet. I immediately get Cole cleaned and sanitized, still feel like I can't breathe, and returned to the bacon! Which was not yet black, thankfully!
I had to explain to Jase, in my most lovingly tone, that he needs to start flushing the toilet. I also had to tell him "good job" for telling Cole he has to wash his hands after going potty.
I recently completed a quiz, survey thing that asked me what I was most afraid of. I said that I try to not fear anything. Well, a little more every day I am starting to fear what I will find the boys doing next!
Hey, at least this time the incident didn't happen while Mommy was watching reality television!
